CRITERIUM

One of the major literary monthlies of the Netherlands, started at the outbreak of the war. In 1943 only 5 numbers were published, then suspended till year 4 (1945/46), which had 15 issues;. Editors were: R. van Lier, B. Aafjes, H. Drion, W.S.A. Colenbrander, Ad. Morriën, W.F. Hermans, A. v.d. Veen, A. van Randwijk, M. Gilliams, C. Debrot, a.o.; contribs. by these and many other prominent Dutch writers of the period (Bordewijk, Vestdijk, v.h. Reve, A. Blaman, Achterberg, Marsman, Elsschot, Kemp, Vasalis, Roland Holst, etc.).
