Together with: - the booklet The Madison Poems of d.a. levy [Cover title: The Art of a Changing Society]. Quarto (28cm); variously-colored printed sheets, side-stapled into collaged covers; [xxviii],23,[1]pp. Together with: - the portfolio titled 7 Concrete Poems (or Electric Greek Poems, on inner card pocket, or Concrete Poems on rear cover). Small stapled portfolio, with text printed in black on blue-gray stock, measuring 16x13,8 cm., , housing 19 concrete poems printed in black on white card stock. All 23 broadside collage inserts are fine; the Concrete Poems portfolio wirth tiny bump and tear at upper spine-fold else Near Fine; The Madison Poems shows mild toning to wrapper extremities, two tiny tears to lower margin of front wrapper, with a small and nearly invisible piece clear tape directly above same - near fine. -The silkscreened envelope is a little worn, with tears and splits, a few of them mended with fraying tape.
Complete first edition of the portfolio of levy's work, which he produced during a one month stint in October, 1968 as the "Free University Poet-in-Residence" at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Two editions of the portfolio were assembled and produced by levy's friends and fellow poets after his death - This one the first in 1969, and a second edition in 1972, both containing an entirely different series of collages and inserts of varying sizes. Uncommon, especially complete, as the 7 Concrete Poems portfolio tends to be removed and sold separately
