LOADED DRUM

[#21161]
No. 2. Newcastle Upon Tyne, Laundering Room Press, 1974. Edited by Brian Marley. Stapled printed wrappers with green tape on spine, 29.5 x 21 cm, 60 stencilled pages.
Rare magazine of experimental writing from 1974 Newcastle. Contributions by Tim Reynolds, Christopher Middleton, Opal L. Nations, Asa Benveniste, Michael Gibbs, Paul Buck, Allen Fisher, Barry MacSweeney, Kris Hemensley et al. Very good unmarked copy.
The magazine belonged to artist, writer, poet and publicist Michael Gibbs (1949-2007). Inserted is a typed and handwritten letter from Laundering Room Press to Gibbs dated 18th August 1974 on remarkable stationary paper designed by Opal L Nations. Also kept in the magazine is a sheet featuring a Permutation Poem by Gibbs, with hand added note on how to read the piece with 12 people. The poem sheet has some wear along the right margin, not affecting the text.
