DRAKABYGGARNA: Exposition Internationale d’Ete du Bauhaus Situationniste.
Original advertising poster with printed linocut and text on brown paper, 31.5 x 43 cm, folded once, announcing the exhibition at Galerie St. Nicolaus in Vejbystrand, Sweden from June 22-July 14 1963. This summer show for the newly-founded Bauhaus Situationniste included a large number of artists who were expelled from the SI in 1962.
Featured artists listed on the bottom part of the poster are Jørgen Nash, Hardy Strid, Jens Jørgen Thorsen, Manfred Laber, Ambrosius Fjord (Asger Jorn’s horse), Heimrad Prem, Royston Adzak, Jacqueline de Jong, Helmut Sturm Hans-Peter Zimmer, Allan Nordmark, Bjorn Rosendahl, Mette Aarre, Lena Ewert, Jesper Solling, Gordon Fazakerley, Roy Lindkvist and Ansgar Elde. There’s an added signature below the linocut which looks like ‘Strid’, but this could not be verified. The linocut is most probably designed by Jørgen Nash. Fine rare item in very good condition.
